Storage Software Market Growth YoY, from IDC About RSS Feeds

In its Worldwide Quarterly Storage Software Tracker report, market research firm IDC reported that the worldwide storage software market experienced its 15th consecutive quarter of year-over-year growth in the second quarter of 2007 with revenues of $2.8 billion, a 10.4% increase over the same quarter one year ago.

EMC led the overall market in 2Q07 with 24.6% revenue share. Symantec took the second position with 17.5% revenue share, while IBM finished in the third position with 13.0% revenue share. Network Appliance finished in the fourth position with 10.7% revenue share. Again, HP and CA rounded out the top 5 in a statistical tie both with 4.7% and 4.6% revenue share, respectively.
