How can I use them?
In general, the first thing you need is something called a news reader. This is a piece of software that checks the feeds and lets you read any new articles that have been added. There are many different versions, some of which are accessed using a browser, and some of which are downloadable applications.
Browser-based news readers let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer, whereas downloadable applications let you store them on your main computer, in the same way that you either download your e-mail using Outlook, or keep it on a web-based service like Hotmail.

When you've found the reader you like and you want to add an RSS feed to it, here's the general procedure:
1. Click on the icon of the RSS feed that interests you--for example, BiTMICRO News--located on the upper right hand corner of this page.
2. Copy the URL of the page that opens (for BiTMICRO News Releases, it's http://feeds.feedburner.com/bitmicro_news).
3. Open up your newsreader software and paste that URL into the appropriate place. For example, in SourceForge's FeedReader software, click New and a window will open. Paste the RSS URL into the box. Click Next, and then click Finish.
4. The new feed will appear under "My Feeds" as "BiTMICRO Flash Storage News Feeds".
5. Click on any headline, and the story will appear in FeedReader's built-in browser in the lower right window of the application.
For web-based readers, simply add the URL of the BiTMICRO RSS feed into your list of subscribed feeds.
