E-Disk SAN SCSI Storage Drives

Designed to provide unparalleled data streaming, the E-Disk®SANS2F combines performance with a rich feature set and complete data protection. E-Disk®SAN S2F-RE has 2GB of cache per controller pair for instant I/O response and dual processors to help push data from four independent host connections to and from the disk drives. Based on BiTMICRO's intelligent E-Disk® platform of flash solid state disks (SSD), the E-Disk®SAN is an SSD cache solution that comes with complete hardware redundancy, remote software management worldwide, and advanced RAID controller functionality for easy use.

Both the single controller, E-Disk®SAN S2F-QE, and the dual controller E-Disk®SAN S2F-RE models share the same embedded SAN volume sharing and dynamic read/write cache allocation features. The volume sharing allows each LUN to be assigned with either read-only, read/write or exclusive permissions to every host server connection over the SAN. This built-in E-Disk®SAN S2F series feature removes the additional cost of third-party host software and provides operating system independent volume sharing. As each host requests and sends an I/O, BiTMICRO's WahooXP RAID controller dynamically tunes the 2GB cache pool between the controller pair to accelerate performance for maximized overall data processing.

The E-Disk®SAN S2F takes availability to the next level. Designed to have separate host connections from the RAID controller canister, this often-overlooked mechanical design maintains a permanent path for data continuance even if a failed component needs to be replaced during the heaviest I/O periods. Through a hardware architecture configurable to support up to 512 separate LUNs that can be assigned up to 512 individual host connections, the E-Disk®SAN S2F series prevents any potential data access interruption and unplanned downtime.

Continuing with BiTMICRO's goal to provide Ultimate Storage Solutions™, the E-Disk®SAN S2F series is easily installed and can be managed from anywhere in the world with web-based storage StorView™ management software.
